Payments
Q. What forms of payment do you accept ?
A. Online payments are done through PayPal, Nochex or Google Checkout. When purchasing some of my surplus stock i only accept cash on collection, i do not accept personal cheques or postal orders of any kind.
Q. Can I cancel a payment using Nochex ?
A. Once a payment has been authorised it cannot be cancelled as Nochex processes all transactions instantly. If you require a refund for a purchase you have made or you have accidentally made a double payment please contact the merchant in the first instance. The email address is available on the payment confirmation email you received.
Q. How does Nochex prevent the fraudulent use of card details ?
A. To verify that cards belong to the people who register them we carry out a variety of security checks. In addition we also perform a SecuriClick™ check on the card. This involves us debiting a small, random amount between £0.01 and £1.99 from the account associated with the card. Before the card can be used, the exact value of this amount must be verified back to us. Failure to do this correctly will result in the card being frozen on our system.
Q. How does 3D Secure work with Nochex ?
Each time a cardholder attempts to make a transaction using Nochex, after entering their personal card details on the Nochex payment page, the Nochex system automatically checks to see if their card is enrolled in the 3D Secure scheme.
Q. I never received a confirmation email from Nochex ?
A. Nochex web payments do not send confirmation emails to customers however they do send payment confirmation to myself. If you are concerned about your Nochex payment please contact me. Nochex cross checks your shipping address against the debit or credit card billing address that you provided for
security. Please make sure that your billing address is up to date as this will be your postal address.
All Book Sales
Q. How long does delivery take ?
A. All books are shipped straight from the supplier. Please allow up to 28 days for delivery.
Q. What is the postage charge ?
A. The postage charge is £5.99 per book and is automatically added to each book at any checkout. All despatches are made by signed for delivery (Royal Mail or DHL), standard 3 to 5 Business Days after cleared funds.
Q. What happens if a book goes out of stock ?
A. From time to time a book may go out of stock. When the supplier informs of this you will be contacted at the email address used for payment to give you the expected date of delivery. You will also be given the option to cancel your order for a full refund.

Q. Do you deliver your fish ?
A. No, my fish are cash on collection from Lancashire.
Q. If there is a fish that i want can you get it for me ?
A. No, i am a hobbiest breeder, i only sell my young or surplus fish.
Q. What if i have noticed an error on your website ?
A. I am only human and mistakes can and will probably be made. If you do notice an error please Contact me.
Q. Can i use some of the photographs here ?
A. Nearly all the photographs on Malawicichlid are © Copyright and used with permission. If you choose to use any of these then you do so at your own risk. If you want to use a photograph that is copyright to African Rifts or Malawicichlid then please contact me first informing how you intend to use the photograph. A link to MalawiCichlid will also be required.
Q. I want to add you to my site, do you have any banners ?
A. No, not at present.
Q. i am having problems with the contact form, do you have an alternative ?
A. Due to the large amount of unsolicited emails received i have temporarily removed all email addresses ending with "@malawicichlid.co.uk", any emails sent to this mailbox will be returned to sender.
