Variabilichromis moorii is a species of cichlid endemic to lake Tanganyika, one of the rift lakes in eastern Africa. This species is only known from the southern portion of the lake. This species reaches a length of 10.3 centimetres (4.1 in) TL. It is also found in the aquarium trade. Currently it is the only known member of its genus.
